TimesOnline suggesting 300,000 jobs in public sector face the axe as Osbourne starts his £6 billion cuts

They think that a ‘Council for Adult Skills and HE’ will replace Skills Funding Agency and HEFCE. Why am I getting a very nervy better-the-devil-you-know feeling about all this?
